Mashle Academy Magic and Magic Mastery Guide

Magic movesets

In Mashle Academy, a Magic is your base moveset. Each Magic provides three moves, which can be complemented by moves and effects from your race, clan, gear, and skills. Magics also have a special Secondths mode.

Magic rarity affects how often a Magic appears, but community findings caution against treating rarity as a direct PvP power ranking. A Common Magic can still be strong when used effectively.

Magic rarity rates

Community-reported Magic rarity rates are:

RarityReported rateMagics
Common89%Charm, Tornegus, Roks, Waters, Fire
Rare10%Lightning, Graviole, Sounds, Ice, Sands
Legendary1%Darkness, Partisans, Muscles, Timez, Spaces

These percentages describe the reported rarity distribution, not a guaranteed measure of combat strength. Consider the moveset and how it fits your other character options instead of choosing solely by rarity.

What Magic Mastery does

Community reports describe Magic Mastery as the progression used to unlock Magic skills and strengthen them. It increases the potency of the Magic Power stat for Magic-scaling abilities.

The reported benefits include:

  • Unlocking Magic skills.
  • Increasing the power or output of Magic-scaling abilities.
  • Improving ability effectiveness, such as longer status effects where applicable.

Magic Mastery, damage, and Muscles

No community-supported damage formula is available here for Magic Mastery, Magic Power, or Muscles. In particular, there is no verified numerical scaling value that converts Magic Mastery into damage.

Muscles is listed as a Legendary Magic in the reported rarity distribution. Its placement in the Legendary category does not, by itself, establish its damage scaling, damage formula, or PvP ranking. Treat claims about exact Mastery breakpoints, multipliers, or Muscle-specific scaling as unverified unless they are supported by current in-game information.

Building around your Magic

Use Magic Mastery when you want to develop Magic skills and improve the effectiveness of abilities that scale with Magic Power. Because a Magic is only one part of a character's kit, evaluate it alongside your race, clan, gear, and skills.

For practical combat application, review the controls and combat guide before judging a moveset only by its rarity. Character choices made during creation can also affect how the rest of your build develops.
